Miss Clementine was our second mastiff. She was a gorgeous apricot brindle, built like a Mack Truck..bone and substance, great angulation, and a beautiful head, scissors bite, and the perfect temperament, Quiet and reserved but always watching and alert. She was loved by all who crossed her path and she loved them back as well.  She made her first public appearance as an ambassador for the Mastiff breed in 2003 at the America’s Family Pet Expo in Costa Mesa, CA…she developed quite a fan club as for years afterword we still received emails asking if we are bringing Clementine to the Expo. Clementine received her Canine Good Citizen and Therapy Dog certifications. She completed her required documented visits and received her Therapy Dog identification card and jacket.  She could lean on you and lay her head in your lap and those eyes would just melt your heart. Clemie had a brief career in the showring which was cut short by a stairstep bone fragment in her left elbow. The vet could not determine if the cause was environmental or genetic, although it caused her some lameness. We decided to spay Clementine and she remained in our home as “aunt Clemie” to all the dogs and children and bring joy to the lives of those less fortunate. It was with heavy heart that we finally had to let Clementine go. She had been battling renal failure for a long time. She was a magnificent dog, companion and provided therapy to anyone who met her. We love you baby
